TV+: Apple offers Billy Crystal for its next series (+ new this summer)

In the news to come, Apple TV+ is enriching its catalog with several promising content, starting with the arrival of Billy Crystal in the limited mini-series Before by Barry Levinson. He will play Eli, a recently widowed child psychiatrist, who meets a troubled young boy.

The series will mark the actor return, who is mainly known for his film career (When Harry Met Sally, Life, Love, Cows, Funny Fathers with Robin Williams or Mafia Blues with Robert de Niro).

In the near future, Apple has just specified the schedule for two series for this summer (well, rather in mid-August): Five Days at Memorial and Bad Sisters. The first – a mini-series by John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, americancrime and Guerrilla) and Carlton Cuse (Locke & Key , Jack Ryanand Lost)- will therefore arrive on August 12. Based on the eponymous novel by Sheri Fink, it will tell the first five days in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005. We will discover behind the scenes, with the tragic daily life of caregivers and working conditions.

On his side, Bad Sisters is a ten-part comedy series starring Sharon Horgan, which airs August 19. Set in Ireland, the Garvey sisters will try to fulfill their pledge to protect each other after the untimely death of their parents.

At the same time, Apple unveiled a video for For All Mankind showing behind the scenes of episode 1 of the 3rd season. We learn how it is possible to reproduce Earth’s gravity, by joining Wrenn Schmidt and discovering all the science behind the realization.
