Dominique Zucaro and Nicolas Soum share the title at the French Pizza Championship

The 16th edition of the French pizza championship took place on March 30 and 31 in Paris, Porte de Versailles, on the sidelines of the Parizza show. And for the first time, there were not one but two winners of the queen event of the “classic pizza” since Dominique Zucaro and Nicolas Soum finished ex-aequo and therefore shared the title of champion of France.

After two days of fierce trials, during which more than a hundred selected candidates will have given everything to try to convince the jury of experts, the French pizza championship organized at the Parizza show in Paris will have given birth to a big first. Indeed, the pizza makers Dominique Zucaro, from Sassenage, and Nicolas Soum, founder of Pizzoum au Cendre (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) did not manage to decide between themselves during the flagship event of the “classic pizza”. They therefore both finish in joint first place in a particularly tough competition this year. Organized in partnership with the magazine France Pizza, the Association of French Pizzerias and Metro, this edition will have brought together a large audience to attend the various successive stages of the competition and the events on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March.

Quentin Sauret, new king of acrobatics

Among these, of course, the traditional acrobatic pizza event, always spectacular, was particularly awaited. And it was Quentin Sauret, from Le Golden, who came out on top. This is not the only distinction won by the pizza maker from Puy-en-Velay since he also won the title in the large pizza category. Finally, in the Pizza in teglia category, the jury chose to reward the already multi-titled candidate Jérémy Viale, who officiates at Casa Viale in Meximieux in Ain.
