Pizza Hut is not going to open immediately. “Eight weeks of work are necessary to transform the premises according to our needs, in particular the rear where we are going to install the production part”, explains Brian Tanguythe manager, who owns two restaurants in Rennes.

He plans to launch the activity at the end of September at the beginning of October. “We want to take our time to do it well.” Ten to fifteen employees will be recruited to start. Mostly permanent but not all full time.

They will be supported, at the start, by Rennais broken in the habits of work of the house.

The concept of the future Pizza Hut in Fougères? Delivery, take-out and the possibility of eating on site in the veranda part of the current restaurant and on the terrace. Seven days a week. “We are more competitive with Domino’s than with Capri”, sums up Brian Tanguy.

“A dynamic city”

Born in Brest, the entrepreneur started as a delivery man for the brand twenty years ago, before climbing all the ladders. This franchisee believes in the development of Pizza Hut in medium-sized cities: “We underestimate the potential of this type of city,” assures Brian Tanguy.

Satisfied with “the centrality and visibility of the location”, he was “seduced” by Fougères:

“It’s a dynamic city, which moves. I’ve come a dozen times since I’ve been looking to settle down. Each time, I noticed that it was alive, that there were people in the streets. We are a long way from the image that some people from Rennes may have of it or from the reputation it has had”.
