Apple TV+ welcomes, as expected, the new work comedy called “Loot”, with Maya Rudolph. What find a certain resonance among executives who subscribe to the streaming service.
The series is created by award-winning creators Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard. Emmy Awardand with Michaela Jaé Rodriquez, Ron Funches, Nat Faxon and Joel Kim Booster.
Loot is typically an American comedy
The star and executive producer is therefore called Maya Rudolph, (“Saturday Night Live”, “Bridesmaids”), a star who is not alone in the cast since we also find Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (“Pose”), Ron Funches (“Undateable”), Nat Faxon (“Married”) and Joel Kim Booster (“Sunnyside”). Loot was created by Alan Yang (“Little America”, “Master of None”) and Matt Hubbard (“30 Rock”, “Forever”), with the first season featuring 10 episodes, the first three of which are available this Friday.
In “Loot,” Maya Rudolph plays billionaire Molly Novak who seems to have a dream life. Private jets, mansion and yacht are part of his daily life. But everything changes when her husband of 20 years betrays her, a task that the tabloids do not miss. She will eventually realize that you have to give to others in order to get back on track. The team that surrounds him is as eclectic as it is crazy, a typically American comedy.
Maya Rudolph serves as executive producer, along with Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens, through their banner Animal Pictures. Dave Becky from 3 Arts is also an executive producer. “Loot” is produced for Apple by Universal Television.
This is the second project between Apple TV+ and Yang, following the three-time nominated anthology series “Little America”.
