Social networks are never short of tips to make our lives easier. Like the day when TikTok taught us how to succeed with eyeliner or contouring. This time, it’s on Instagram that it’s happening. Influencer julya66, from the blog My Desires and Me, recently shared her recipe for pasta gratin in tomato sauce, which is as easy as it is mouth-watering. Its particularity: no need to pre-cook the pasta, all the ingredients are cooked at the same time, in the dish, before being put in the oven. There’s also no need to supervise, use a lot of dishes or spend too much time in the kitchen. All cooked gently in the oven, while leaving you time to attend to other occupations. Like a lasagna dish, but with less preparation. Not to mention that it can be declined endlessly with chicken, salmon, seasonal vegetables… The important thing is that there is enough liquid for the pasta to cook.
Moreover, this trick is reminiscent of another technique that has gone viral: the one pot pasta. Remember, this was a method of cooking pasta that consisted of cooking all the ingredients together in a saucepan, with broth or sauce. Childishly simple, the recipe made the buzz in 2015.
How to make @julya66’s one pot baked pasta?
It is preferable to choose pasta in the shape of a tube (penne or macaroni type) which are better suited to gratins. However, you can opt for spaghetti, or short pasta (farfalle, troffie, fusilli…).
